Hello from (formerly) snowy Amman! From what I hear, this isn't a terribly regular occurrence, but since this is my first winter here, I can't really comment on that. All I know is that Mom got to stay home last Thursday and when Dad took me out for our walk, there was all this white stuff . . . and it was cold!! Still, Mom & Dad seemed to enjoy it (or at least enjoy taking pictures of me and it), and I have to admit that I liked the snowman right at eye level. Apparently people here build snowmen on top of cars simply because that's where most of the snow collects!
So I guess I can't say that I "stayed in" the whole time it was cold and snowy, but I did seem to notice that the number of walks seemed to decrease . . . and those we went on seemed a lot shorter. Needless to say, I'm glad that it's warmed up!!
In the mean time, while I was waiting to get out again, I practiced some of my new skills--like turning over, squealing, and sitting up. I'm getting pretty good at that, if I do say so myself. And I've got to say that some of my toys are a heck of a lot easier to play with now that I can sit up on my own . . . at least for a while!
But perhaps the most exciting thing (at least Mom & Dad say it's exciting) is that it looks like spring might be here. The other day, Mom decided to take me out to dinner. I thought that sounded pretty cool: I'd heard Mom & Dad talk about eating out, and I figured I was up to it.
I'm not sure what they normally mean by "eating out," but I've got to say that the food tasted pretty much like the stuff I get at home. Now the atmosphere: that was all right! Mom put my chair on a rock with really cool texture. And I got to see my first "poppy" (think "red flower"). And there was lots of this green stuff they call grass. I think I'm going to like this "spring" stuff.
