So, instead, I'll update you on what's been going on.
First of all, summer has definitely arrived here in Amman. Today it's supposed to get up to 40 (that's in Celcius--104 for those that are used to Fahrenheit), so we've been hanging out indoors or in the shade. Not a big problem, since Dad rigged up a bunch of tarps so that we can sit out on our front patio in the shade. I've got to tell you: there are lots of cool things to pick up and explore (read: taste) out there: leaves, rocks, twigs, little bits of who-knows-what . . . seriously exciting!
And I am finally able to get around on my own! Well . . . kind-of. Dad calls me a "butler" because he says I'm not a toddler yet: I just scoot around on my butt. It works, though! I do kind-of crawl: one knee down, one foot down. I don't know why Mom & Dad make such a big deal about it: it's just a way for me to get where I want without waiting for someone to come pick me up and take me there!
I also really like books and toys and little bits and anything I can chew on. And I'm getting much better at feeding myself (I prefer it, actually: why wait for someone to put something in my mouth when I can do it on my own!).
So, yeah, life is becoming much more interesting. I did pick up a pretty nasty virus last weekend . . . high fever, feeling yucky, rash all over . . . not fun to say the least! Though I did get to visit some nice doctors (and others who wanted to poke things in my ears and nose and throat--not so much fun). I'm better now, though, and glad to be done with that!
