Yes, I realize this is long overdue. Summer is now officially here--has been for a couple of weeks. But the good news is that this should mean lots of "catch up" posts in the next few days/weeks, right?
Inshallah.
So . . . spring. Mom, Dad, and I continued going on walks. We love where we live: it's pretty quiet, and it's close to some great pizza, salad, and ice cream, as well as to some great views, like the Citadel.
The warmer weather has also meant that the kids can come over more often. And we can play outside a lot more! We also continued playing with the turtles: they like to hide, so it's like a daily game of hide-and-seek just to see them.
This is Jordan, so spring time sometimes means rain (like the day after Dad put up the summer tarps to block out the sun!). It was kind-of fun to be able to stand and watch the rain gush down the stairs . . . and even to be able to go outside and run around in it :)
And then, of course, there was Easter. We celebrated Easter in May this year (something having to do with different church calendars?), which was actually pretty nice: April can be cold at times here in Jordan, but May is pretty warm. A lot of my friends hadn't ever decorated Easter eggs, so they all came over and we set up shop in the kitchen. I did a bit but couldn't get all that excited about the time it took. The candy eggs, however: now those were a treat!
I know there's lots more to say, but I'll save that for the next post . . . or the one after that or the one after that or . . .
